This tour takes us through some of the most stunning scenery to be found in the U.S.A. From the splendour of the Rocky mountains to the harsh desert vistas of Utah, they`re all to be found on this 2000 mile trip through a motor- cycling paradise not often visited by riders from the U.K.

Day 1

We meet you at the airport and  transfer to the hotel, over drinks we get to know each other, talk about the itineraries, group riding and try to answer any queries you may have.

Day 2    Denver - Fort Collins ( 180 MILES )

We pick up the bikes this morning and head north out of Denver. The route to Fort Collins is an adabtable one depending on the time taken to familiarise everyone with the bikes. With all of the tour the interstates are used as little as possible but sometimes it`s inevitable and the route out of Denver is one of them. Out of the city and we will soon be off the superslab and in search of real motorcycling roads.

Day 3    Fort Collins - Rawlins ( 175 MILES )

Heading north west out of Rawlins we cross into Wyoming, we soon make a stop at the famous town of Laramie, a town featured in many tales from the old west. Via Medicine Bow national park we make our way to the overnight stop of Rawlins.

Day 4   Rawlins - Riverton ( 120 MILES )

A fairly short ride today in miles but an interesting one as we ride through towns called Muddy gap and Sweetwater station in the Shoshone national forest with many photographic opportunities along the way.

Day 5    Riverton - Cody ( 180 MILES )

Mans influence can rarely be soon on any great scale as we ride through this glorious scenery but we will stop at Boysen Reservoir just after Shoshone village where we will be stopping to look around. We carry on north through Worland, Greybull and Buffalo Bill village and our overnight motel at Cody.

Day 6    Cody - Jackson Hole ( 160 MILES )

Just when you thought the scenery couldn`t get any better we ride into the East entrance to the Yellowstone national park. A day in this wonder of nature can barely do it justice but an early start gives us time to visit all the famous sites. Old faithful will blow right on cue ( with a little help from man ) and the road past Yellowstone Lake is wonderful on two wheels. Before we arrive at Jackson hole we visit the Grand Teton national park. Today will be a very full one but one you will remember for years !! Theodore Roosevelt once described the route from Cody to the entrance of Yellowstone as the most scenic 50 miles in America.

Day 7    Jackson Hole - Idaho Falls ( 155 MILES )

Today we have a fairly short day mileage wise but the scenery is still majestic as we ride out of Wyoming into Idaho to our stop in Idaho falls.

Day 8    Idaho Falls - Salt Lake City ( 165 MILES )

Our ride today takes us to the home of the Mormon religion Salt Lake city. On the way we travel through the Fort Hall indian reservation and the Caribou national forest before decending into Utah, stopping at Brigham city on our way along the great salt lake where riding with sunglasses is usually recomended.  Salt lake city has been the capital of Utah since it became a state in 1896 and has a rich cultural mix with many places of interest for an evening stroll.

Day 9    Salt Lake City - Green River ( 183 MILES )

East of the city is this is the place state park/old desert village, this is a historical park which re-creates a community in the late 1800`s including renovated buildings. After looking around for a while we will head south through Provo near to Utah lake and Price before reaching our overnight stop at Green River.

Day 10  Green River - Montrose ( 160 MILES )

The highlight for today is the visit to the Arches national park, no where else on the planet can you see such a profusion of rocks sculpted by nature as you can here. The roads too can be pretty exciting as we cross the Colorado river near Moab before turning east back into Colorado and the ride down route 50 to Montrose.

Day 11  Free Day

Some will welcome a day off from riding today whilst others will not want to miss the opportunity to ride some or all of the million dollar highway that runs a hundred miles south to Durango. This is one of the most spectacular roads in Colorado through the foot-hills and into the San Juan mountain range. Because of the high elevations you need to be prepared with cold weather riding gear.

Day 12            Montrose - Aspen ( 150 MILES )

A memorable ride today through an area well known to winter ski enthusiasts. We are in some high areas with wonderful mountain views as we travel to the town of Aspen.

Day 13  Aspen - Denver ( 180 MILES )

Rare miles on the interstate today as we make an early start to include a ride to mount Evans. This is the highest tarred road in the U.S.A and is a fitting finale to our tour as we head back into Denver and our last night together.

Day 14

Today we return the bikes to the hire company before packing our leathers away for the last time and getting the transfer to the airport and our flight back home.
